Had sex for the first time a couple of weeks ago, two successive nights, both protected via condom (new, not expired) but no birth control (I do not plan to have sex again until I am on birth control). We were very careful and checked for breaks afterwards even pouring water into the used condom to make sure there was no leakage. All was safe, but I'm still very anxious and worried due to it being my first time and condoms not being completely preventive 100% of the time. Could we have missed a leak? This is the only way that I would have experienced vaginal contact with any sperm. I was projected to start my period today, but I haven't...should I be worried or am I really just overthinking/stressing this? I have experienced some of my typical PMS symptoms like increased appetite, mood swings, and slight cramps. However I have also noticed that my nipples are a little sore which is uncommon for me. I'm sure I shouldn't worry, but the whole situation is making me very anxious and paranoid. I know I'm not late yet technically, but I was hoping for some peace in mind to ease the stress that could very likely delay my upcoming period. If it is late though, how many days should I wait to take a pregnancy test just to be safe and sure? I don't think I should be as worried as I am, but because I am new to sexual activity in the form of vaginal penetration, I'm on high alert. Thank you in advance!
