This is very similar to what happen to me, the Yasmin, yeast infections, then pain that won't get better. I also have IBS but keep it under control by avoiding triggers and eating LOTS of fiber. I like the kellogs fiber cereals and fiber bars. I also use Miralax when I need it (I have the constipation type). Exercise helps too. My patient fiance' has been supportive about my vestibulitis for 2 1/2 years now, 1/2 the time we have been together. I have been to various doctors and have been told to "relax" or was just switched to a different birth control but most recently I was told by GYN what she was going to prescribe the last time I was there. I have been treated for yeast, taken Elavil for 4 mos, and now am using the estrace cream. She also wrote me a testosterone cream but told me to try just estrogen first. I was really mad because she refused to check my SHBG and Testosterone levels. I will be finding a new GYN, if I don't end up flying to NYC to see Dr. (name removed) eventually. I am very afraid that this will ruin my relationship and am very frustrated because I know that I did nothing to deserve this. It makes me feel hopeless and hurt every time we try to have sex. I just want it to go back to the way it was. The other challenge is alternative birth control. I just graduated as a physician assistant and would really like to wait a few years for kids. I think I am going to get fitted for a diaphragm and try to keep up with my cycle using one of the better methods. I read that you can order a "Pearly" from Europe that keeps up with your cycle for you and think I might try that too, when I am finally able to have sex again that is. Please don't give up and keep posting what you learn please! Is anyone using testosterone/estrogen creams that can tell me how they are dosed and how you use them? I just graduated and don't have a job or health insurance yet and just can't wait any longer to fix this. Thanks and good luck everyone:)
