Nora is right. She is certainly one who has done her research and homework, and I would advise any woman considering this operation to read the 'H Word' book, and also the 'Hysterectomy Hoax' book.
I disagree with the comment made about the 'videos'. They are 'eye-openers', and this is
what the doctors and the 'Medical Industry' do not want women to view, and it is the sad,
very sad fact.

I wish I could have had this knowledge by reading and viewing all this before I decided whether to have my Hyst. or not; then made a wiser decision. Why don't doctors and the 'Medical Industry' give us truly, ALL THE FACTS? My whole life has been changed, and not for the better - physicallly, being able to work, having the great love making I had before with my husband, and so many medical problems and fatigue after it - and relationships with family and friends. I am a changed woman, and does one sense a tone of anger with my statements? You 'betcha'! I am one of those who with so many other women who post on website blogs as the Hers Foundation; that we have been taken 'for a ride' to our doctor's benefit and profit - along with hospitals, and in my case alone - all the people who made money after the Hyst. with me trying to find out what was wrong after the Hyst., and why I felt 'different', and worse. Hey, the
back pain alone would be enough to warrant saying 'No'. But, I think of my husband too. Our great sex life has gone from me being a 'sex kitten' to 'I could care less'... Does any woman want to take the chance with this, and wind up as me? Another major point is this: there is no going back. Try to find every alternative possible out there. Please, oh please, do this. Call Nora Coffey at the Hers Foundation. If you want, do a post here, and request my email address, and I am more than happy to communicate with you, one on one. I did make it my mission to try to spare any female from what happened to me, and willing to share my story. I wish I would have known of someone as myself to talk with before I had mine. I am not 'one sided' either. It is just that when a doctor gets away with not providing ALL THE INFORMATION, and alternatives; this is so cruel. No woman should be CASTRATED and MUTILATED as I and so many millions of females are each year. I am happy to hear of any woman who comes out 'alright' afterwards, but I have an argument with that, and trust me, it is a good one... Even though one may feel fine now... just wait a few years. One might also never correlate the Hyst. one has with 'heart problems' later, bowel problems, bladder problems, etc., etc., etc.; but, this is so very much likely the problems stem - post Hysterectomy.

I wish the best to all females out there, and also their significant others. Please work to stop this insanity doctors are getting away with - starting with yourself...
