Had my first child at 45. Huge pregnancy complications due to incompetent cervix (which has nothing to do with age). Baby was born 3 1/2 months premature. Now, 2 years later, he is the absolute joy of my life and I am so grateful to have had him and more importantly to your question, at this time in my life. I am a more patient mom, certainly more financially stable and better prepared to handle Motherhood. I strongly recommend it! Actually giving some consideration to another one at age 47....
