Jet lag and shift work always make me feel terrible. I find myself eating more of the wrong foods to try to boost up my energy levels. Never really helps!
I read a study that showed shift workers were more prone to being overweight and unhealthy. Harvard researchers found working shift work changed hormone levels and increased the risk of diabetes, obesity and heart disease. If you do shift work (I avoid it!) have a read of the study. http://www.my-blood-glucose.com/shift-work.html
