Dear Anon, sorry you are having some concerns about your menstrual cycle. I am curious to learn your age and whether you have had a history of irregular menstrual cycles. Based on the information you provided it appears that your cycle is shorter than the average. There are many possible reasons that can trigger a shorter or longer menstrual cycles, one of them is genetics or hormonal imbalance. The most concerning aspect of your posting is the "unprotected sex" part. I am sure you have evaluated the consequences of having intercourse without protection. If so, are you willing to take chances? Are you in a committed relationship with your boyfriend? Is your partner also willing to take the chance of a pregnancy for example?

I think you need to consider this issue seriously. For starters, I suggest you see a doctor to consult about your short menstrual cycles and also discuss with him/her a form of birth control that can best protect you from an unwanted pregnancy and risking bringing a child into this world when you are not quite ready for it.
