Hi, Emmaley,

OK, I am very glad that your blood tests came back negative, but I know that it means the puzzle remains. So frustrating, isn't it?

OK, I'm not sure I'm crazy about a doctor who wants you to wait until something gets worse before she can test for it. What? What? She can't order a CT scan for you?

Is this an insurance issue? Or something similar?

I'm not satisfied with your doctor's findings either, emmaley. Is she a general doctor? Does she have a specialty?

Have you had any jaw or dental work done recently? Do you still have your wisdom teeth? If so, do they ever appear swollen or irritated?

Here's a good diagram of the lymph nodes in our heads and necks. Is there a particular place where your pain and/or lump seems to always be located?

Has your doctor considered that you might have an infection of some sort?

Here is the Mayo Clinic's page on swollen lymph nodes. Please be sure to click on the links to the left which include causes, diagnosis, treatments and drugs. I'm interested to see if this sounds like what you have?

And you never mentioned what your doctor said to you about your bone scan. Was there anything specific going on there that might be causing your pain?
