You may be referring to spermicide. Spermicide is a substance containing chemicals that prevents pregnancy by stopping sperm from moving. Spermicides are inserted deep into the vagina shortly before intercourse. They block the cervix, so sperm cannot reach an egg. They keep sperm from moving, so they cannot join with an egg.
If you find that the condoms which you are currently using slip off frequently, maybe you need to try a different size or a different brand or style.
