Hello Crystal,

Thank you for your question. It is quite possible that high stress levels could be the reason for a late period. Have you been under a lot of stress lately?

A recent illness, excessive exercising, and even excessive changes in weight, either gaining or losing a lot of weight, cause a delay in the start of a period.

Try to relax. If you do not get a period this month, and next month, consult your primary care physician or gynecologist.
