I am confused as to what pills you took, and which ones you missed, and if you had sex before your new pack (Friday and Saturday before, since you are a Sunday starter), even though you said you had sex after you started the new pack?

Can you answer these questions:
- Did you start your new pill pack the previous Sunday, then had sex Friday and Saturday, then forgot the following Sunday pill?

- Or, did you have sex Friday and Saturday before your new pack, while you were on the inactive pills (it's OK if you did not take them), and then missed that following Sunday's pill (from a new pack)?

Which pills did you take, and which ones did you miss? Did you double-up on Monday to make-up for the missed pill on Sunday?

I can answer one of your questions now: many birth control instructions (be sure to read the patient information brochure with your pills, to be sure this is correct for your specific prescription!!) will say that if you miss one pill, then take it as soon as you remember...that it is not necessary to use a back-up form of birth control (condom). If you miss more than one pill, it is necessary to double-up on pills AND use back-up birth control for the next seven days.

If you are using birth control on a daily basis, then you are having protected sex, even if it is during the inactive pills.
