Hi, Banditka, and welcome to EmpowHer! Thanks so much for your question. It's a great one.

I have a question for you: Has your body on the pill been relatively trouble-free? Then most likely this won't be a huge deal either. But if you tend to have a few issues with the pill, it might take you longer to get back to being perfectly normal.

Our bodies are soooo different that honestly, the only way you'll know exactly how the week without pills is going to affect you is to wait and see. It might come right when you start the sugar pills, just like regular. It might be a week late. Or it might not come at all. (Sometimes I think birth control pills like to mess with us just to show us who's boss.)

Please call your doctor or gynecologist's office and ask to talk to the nurse, and ask the nurse what her or his advice is if you end up not getting a period during your next week of sugar pills. They will probably want you to go ahead and start your next pack of pills just as normal, but it's good to be sure.
