Im so glad ive found this thread, but Ive read the whole thing and cant seem to find a global solution. I have been experiencing the issue for around 12 months, it started with a small patch of eczema under my eye and another area beside my ear, but as the year has gone on, its gotten worse to the point where I wake up in the morning and my eyes are so swollen and red than I dont even look like me. The swelling drops as the day goes on, but then the red areas turn flakey and skin begins to peel off.
Ive been to the Dr's twice, the first time he prescribed Lipocream which did nothing, the second a Canisten Cortisone which works wonders but i am concerned about using this around the eye area for a long peroid of time.
At the moment I use it for seven days and then break but the problem comes back as soon as I stop the cream. Im waiting for an appointment with a dermatologiest so will update once ive heard.
Ive changed detergent, make up, moved house, changed my chair at work and nothing has worked - other than going on holiday for three weeks to Bali where the condition completely healed!
To summarise the creams ive read which have worked for others on here are;
Epicream
T-Gel (diluted around eyes)
Watkins Salve
Neosporin Eczema Essentials Daily
Benadril
Coconut oil or Vitamim E
Elocon - Monetasone Furoate
Chinese medicine
Im going to work my way down this list to see if anything works, and also book an appointment at an Allergist and Chinese Herbalist!
