Having milky white discharge does not necessarily mean that you are ovulating. In women who have not had their tubed tied, this is a very common reason for the discharge. You also mention that it has been going on for a few weeks which probably means that this is not ovulation discharge. A sudden increase in the amount of discharge you experience may warrant a visit to your gynecologist to determine the cause.
An abnormal odor or consistency of the fluid, or pain, itching, or burning that accompanies vaginal discharge can also be signs of infection or other more serious disorders.
