I know that it has been over a year since your post, but I ran across it while searching. I am experiencing the exact same pain including the holding of the arm as if it were in a sling. I am 2 months post injection and was just wondering what was your outcome. Heat seems to be the only thing that soothes the pain, but it never goes away. The pain goes from my shoulder down to below my elbow. I am really getting frustrated about this pain. I have another appointment on Monday with an Ortho doctor, so hopefully I can find out something.
