Dear Owlhelper,
I went to a radiologist last week to get an opinion on Uterine Fibroid Embolization as an alternative to hysterectomy. I am 52 and still bleeding heavily. He does not recommend this procedure for women overe 50. It sounds like you made the right choice with cryoablation as you are still doing well 2 years later. In fact yourn post help me to decide to do this over a hysterectomy. My gynecologist tells me the average age for menopause is 51 so I think you made the right choice (my opinion).
