The most common reason for a missed period is pregnancy. I am still unsure if you had protected sex, if you are trying to become pregnant or trying to prevent a pregnancy, but since you are on day 35 of your cycle, you can take a home pregnancy test if this is what you are worried about.

If you are not concerned about pregnancy, and are just wondering why your period is late, then there are all types of reasons women have a late or even a missed period that does not include pregnancy. Reasons may include excess stress, new medication, recent illness, hormone imbalance, medical condition, or other unknown reasons.

It is common for women to miss a period or two, but if you continue to be concerned, and are not pregnant, you can call your Gynecologist for an appointment.
