The "growths" in the groin could be caused by a number of factors, and the location and "feel" of the growths need to be medically evaluated by her doctor, especially with her history of cancer.

There are many areas in the groin that can become swollen, including lymph nodes and glands, that may indicate an infection that can be easily treated.
