If you can get an appointment with an Ear, nose and throat doctor, there is an additional test that can be performed for Hoshimoto disease. I️ was misdiagnosed with “ Graves’ disease “ until my doctor did this additional test on me. If anyone has had your thyroid completely removed, and you are not on any type of synthetic thyroid medication, eventually your body will not be able to regulate due to no thyroid function ( as the thyroid regulates several other organs in the body) worst case scenario, ( and this is word for word from my ENT doctor) and this is regarding HOSHIMOTO DISEASE ) the other vital organs that depend on the thyroid to keep them regulated cannot function properly. Eventually, you can fall into a coma and the body cannot substain any other further function. Which then results in death. Again, this is for those who suffer from Hoshimoto syndrome and this is exactly what my ENT SPECIALIST said to me word for word as I️ am just a simple person, meaning I️ could never explained this without it having been explained to me! Hope this helps for those who are seeking answers for this condition. Lastly, the only “ cure “ for this particular condition is a total thyroidectomy.
