I am very sorry that you're going through this but this may very well be the reason why you are having trouble conceiving. A healthy uterus and fallopian tubes are great news, the downside is that you have small ovaries. It's not cause by something you did, ate, or anything you could control. I could very well be genetic. Normally, the older a woman gets the smaller her ovaries may become. Therefore, a woman in her 50's is less prone to getting pregnant than one in her 20's. In your case, your ovaries are small already making it difficult for conception but do not lose hope. You are doing what you can to make it possible for a baby and I am sure your doctor will do aggressive treatment on you to be as successful as possible. Please keep us updated.
