Hi..thanks for writing back!

Your feelings are not stupid by any means...we all have our insecurities, and some days (or even years) we feel better about ourselves than compared to other times. Sometimes our insecurity can be about our physical self; other times it can be about our emotional ups & downs, social "inadequacies", mental/intellectual challenges, etc.

Please know you are not alone in wanting to change something about your body, in hopes that it will bring about self-esteem...this is probably why cosmetic surgery is such a profitable industry. If you truly feel that the moles are the only thing holding you back from being more confident, and you have weighed the pros/cons with your health care provider, than it may be a good choice for you. I hope you also use this time to reflect on other ways you can gain more confidence...we can help you, if you'd like! :-) I'd like to give you a big virtual hug!

The one thing that helps me get through my "low self esteem days" is to know that most people are ego-centric when it comes to their physical selves, and are more concerned with their OWN appearance rather than even noticing someone else.

Anyways, let us know what the Dermatologist says, as your information could help other women who are considering mole removal for cosmetic purposes.

Take care!
