Hi Linda - I'm so glad you've shared your personal story with EmpowHER members. I've known you for several years, and you're the first and only person I've ever met with piriformis syndrome. I've watched as you've struggled to find more information, both from the medical community and from others who are living with this condition.
The many adaptations you've made have been incredible but the one that really stands out is when you convinced Southwest Airlines to let you "help" the flight attendants on a cross country trip so you could stand up more and not have as much pain as you would have had if you'd been sitting for the entire trip. Talk about a creative solution!!!
Your grace and tenacity in not letting this get you down is a model for others.
