Hi May,

All the information you provided in response to Diane’s questions would suggest that due to your recent life changes, you are experiencing missed periods which are common. Your body is adjusting to sleeping during the day instead of night time which can be extremely stressful on the body and could cause missed periods.

The pains in your abdomen sound like menstrual cramping. If you are not experiencing abnormal pains in the abdomen area, you should be fine. After answering your questions posed by Diane, I will agree and say that you should not worry about your missed periods at this time. If you miss another period, go to your physician and explain to him/her what is going on and they may offer birth control pills for regulation of your period as your body transitions.

I hope this information settles your nerves. It would appear that due to the changes in your lifestyle, your body is just adjusting. Keep us posted.
