We can't say how your wife got this infection but you are "interrogating" her non-stop to the point that she is putting guns to her head to swear she is telling the truth - that is far more concerning than Trich.
She could have gotten it from you - have you been tested? She could have had it in her system for the past two decades - people can have it for years and years without symptoms.
I hope your wife has a safe place to go as you sound like a dangerous threat to her.
