Sounds like you are quite worried. Have you/your girlfriend done a pregnancy test? If you were as careful as it sounds like you were, my inclination is to say the odds of her being pregnant are not great. However, strange things do happen sometimes, and it only takes one strong little sperm to make her pregnant.
Spotting is really common. You don't say if she is on birth control pills, although I'm assuming she isn't from your description. Even if she hasn't experienced any spotting before, as women age their cycles change a little here and there so a little spotting would not be surprising at all. My suggestion to you because you are so concerned is to wait for at least ten days from when you had sex, and have her tested. That should help with your concerns. It is too easy to drive ourselves crazy when the answer can be as simple as a pregnancy test.
