Hi Ellie-

Your question isn't weird. I might agree to slightly irrational, but fear does that to a person! The odds of you getting pregnant in the way you describe would be extremely low to non-existent. But if you are at this point with your boyfriend, perhaps it is time to consider birth control of some kind? In the heat of the moment, sometimes things move fast and if you are scared now, imagine how you'd feel if you had unprotected sex.

I suggest thinking very hard about your options and where you feel comfortable with your sexual activity, and if you think there is even a chance you might consider having sex at some point in the near future, figure out what method of birth control you want to use now. That way you are not scrambling and scared if you do have sex. Also, if you decide on something like the pill, it does not work immediately so you'll need a little time to be safe or use a backup method.

Please give some serious thought and do a little planning ahead so you are ready no matter what direction you want to go; birth control methods, abstinence, whatever. The decision is yours to make, so don't make it by default.

Good luck to you.
