Hi Joerine-

Ovarian cysts are very common. Many woman have them and never even realize it and within a few months they disappear with no treatment. They are often considered what we call an incidental finding, because they are so common and usually not worrisome.

Sometimes they can cause a problem, particularly if they rupture. It is very painful and sudden. They can also indicate PCOS, although at your age it would be less likely. We have a good page on ovarian cysts: https://www.empowher.com/condition/ovarian-cysts and Mayo Clinic has a good page as well: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/ovarian-cysts/DS00129

If you have troublesome symptoms, let your doctor know right away. But most likely if you have a little cyst like this it will disappear on its own. Try not to worry and good luck getting pregnant!
