It sounds like your heavy workload and upcoming exam are causing you to really stress out and cause a delay in the start of your period.
During times of high stress, the body produces more of the hormone called cortisol. This triggers the body to shut down non essential functions. The menstrual cycle is one of these functions.
I do not think you need to see a physician at this time. Once exams are over and you have had a chance to relax, your period should start.
