Mandy, in addition to medications, there are natural alternatives to medication that have been proven to be effective, and in fact are often recommended by health practitioners before trying medication. Diet, exercise, avoiding caffeine, stress management, and vitamins, minerals and certains herbs are all possibilities. Although you may decide that medication is the best fit for you, I'd hate to see anyone go on medication without considering all the alternatives, especially when there are ones that work, without side effects.
