Guide (reply to Anonymous)

Hello Anonymous,

Yes it does. Levels of hCG, which is the hormone produced during pregnancy, can be detected in urine about 12 to 14 days following conception. Levels are detected in blood about 11 days following conception.

Since you last had intercourse on January 21 and 22, and your period was due on January 26, you should have been passed ovulation.

Are you testing in the morning? You will get the most accurate result if you test with the urine when you first wake up.

If you have tested properly and are now 16 days late, consider speaking with your gynecologist about a blood hCG test.

Regards,
Maryann
