If you started your period on the 2nd and your cycle is a fairly normal 28 days, you probably ovulate somewhere between days 12-14. So yes, it's absolutely possible that you could get pregnant by having unprotected sex around that time.
But most women don't have any symptoms for at least a couple of weeks, due to the time it takes for the fertilized egg to travel down the fallopian tubes and implant itself. For many women, the first symptom they have is the missed period -- anything else like nausea, fatigue, tender breasts or frequent urination tends to come a little bit later.
Like you said, that's just in general. Everyone is different. Are you hoping to be pregnant?
