OMG. I was in hell for 2 weeks with the redness and the unbearable itching. I've been reading through a lot of message boards and am willing to try anything... I tried head and shoulders and what a difference it made to the itching and rash progression. After the first use, I noticed that the itching has gone down dramatically. After the second use (at night< i did the first shower with head and shoulders shampoo in the morning), I was SOLD. I had the best sleep ever that night. The next morning, I noticed that the rash is less red and weepy.... I am hoping that I am on the mend and on its way.
I do want to thank all of you that post things that worked for you on this condition (pityriasis rose) as it helped a lot of us in making it easier to deal with. My recommendation is to use Head and Shoulders shampoo as soap. It worked like a miracle for me. I follow it with the Aveeno ecsema cream....
