I have occipital neuralgia and it is scalp/ head pain as you described it ( mine is on left). It really is so painful that I am not surprised you thought about an aneurysm. The scalp pain can be super intense too. Example: can't brush hair or put hair in pony tail. My cervical MRI showed nothing, but the pain does go down my neck ( so does the occipital nerve, to C2) and radiates down and to shoulder even. For severe TMJ issues you should see a neurologist who specializes in this area and can help you with the occipital nerve pain as well. By the way, nerve pain will make you anxious and panicky, when you don't know what you have it is strange, scary and so painful. Just find a very good neurologist. I went to 3 before I found 'the one'. What you describe is completely different from the problem of dizziness/fainting caused by standing up, standing for a long period of time etc.
I have both problems from a very young age (little kid). The dizziness/fainting has gotten much worse since my neuralgia problems got out of hand. Low blood pressure, hydration, salt intake, I know about all these things. But ever since I was a kid, I have had this and I would sit down on the street in a store; my mom would take me to get a drink and make me eat salt right out of a salt shaker or little salt pack. One piece of advice I have is to never lock your knees while standing, I have never done this but I know this is bad for blood flow and will make you pass out. One person wrote about their arms shaking, etc. I passed out once and experienced shaking of arms, legs after I regained consciousness. Someone said it looked like a seizure, but I experienced it as weakness. I tried to get up but my body couldn't do it yet and the movements I attempted to make were 'jerky', I felt like a sputtering engine. These days, I get dizzy/faint so easily that I have trouble going grocery shopping. I get really hot/sweaty the more faint I feel. I suffer from more fatigue. This stuff has sucked my whole life, but now it's just awful. I suffer from neuralgia in my face and head plus migraines(all on the left side), and I take quite a bit of medicine. I also have mitral valve prolapse, which is a heart condition that is not much to worry about, however it can cause these symptoms. I have been blaming my medications a lot, but it might be time to revisit the heart issue.
