Most adults have already been exposed to Roseola as children, and it is very rare that an adult would become symptomatic (develop a fever or rash).
How long ago did your great nephew have the fever and rash? This virus is not very contagious, and the incubation period between exposure to the virus and onset of symptoms is nine to 10 days. If it has been longer than this time period, it would be extremely rare for you to become infected with this virus.
