Having a menstrual period would indicate that you are not pregnant.

Women's periods can change, and this is completely normal! Your period can be lighter, heavier, longer or shorter in duration, a few days early or late, accompanied by PMS symptoms or not, spotting or no spotting, flow that is red, pink or brown...the list goes on. These are all normal ranges for what a period is, and if your period "changes" it just means you are human and reacting/interacting with your environment.

When a change is something to call your doctor about:
- absence of menstrual period for 2-3 months
- extreme pain with period
- heavy bleeding (soaking more than one pad every hour)
- period that lasts for more than 7-10 days
