Hey Alison Beaver, dont know if you are still on here.
The Mirena can be used on women who haven't had children if there are other factors that are affecting which birth control or menstrual management method they can use. I got put on it as a last resort as I'm allergic to condoms and have a clotting disorder that means I can't take the pill.
Also,
I have been using tampons for the last few months that I've had it and haven't had any problems.
I'm 19 and still young, and I found it too difficult to wear the things I wanted to wear without a tampon.
