Peri-oral dermatitis is an acne-like condition of unknown cause that has some similarities to rosacea and is sometimes mistaken for rosacea. It is is a common facial rash that can include small inflamed bumps and water filled blisters or pus spots around the mouth, nose and chin. Steroid creams produce and also aggravate this condition.
