Hi. I agree. You should talk to your Dr about this. I have just had this surgery for the same condition, about 2 months back. I ended up with facial palsyon the affected side. However, by God's Grace the palsy seems to be temporary and I am recovering from it slowly. The spasms have disappeared, so I guess I can safely assume that the surgery was a success, though I am left with hearing loss on the side that I was operated.
