If you only had unprotected sex 5 or 6 days ago, a pregnancy test taken now would not be accurate.
I am unclear when you did/did not use birth control, but the information you need to know:
- If you are using birth control consistently and correctly as directed, it reduces your chances of pregnancy
- If you are not using birth control, you have an increased chance of pregnancy
- The only way to know if you are pregnant is to wait until your next menstrual period. If it does not begin as expected, you can take a home pregnancy test at that time and it will be accurate.
- The only early pregnancy sign is a missed period. Other "signs" too closely mimic pre-menstrual symptoms and are impossible to distinguish the two. It is just speculation on anyone's part whether a particular sign/symptom is pregnancy, pre-menstrual or something else.
