It sounds like you may need to talk with a specialist, unless you are misunderstanding what the doctor is telling you. PCOS is a chronic condition that does not just "go away". Birth control pills can help treat symptoms, and you would need to talk with your doctor about your specific situation and PCOS to know if you are able to conceive without fertility treatments.

Can you begin educating yourself on PCOS, and ask us questions that you do not understand? Do you have a doctor you feel is specialized in treating PCOS, who spends time explaining this condition and treatment options with you?
