i don't really know why but this is normal for me too, i can tell i have finished because i will start to tighten up and can remain very tight up to 24 hours. but i've been told its not normal. as for soreness, foreplay and going slowly definitely help, as well as knowing when to stop. if i'm starting to tighten up and keep going i know i'm going to be sore afterwards.
