Hi zariaboyd1,
A menstrual period is not considered "late" until after day 36 (approximately), as most cycles are between 21-35 days. This varies for many women, but is just a general range.
If you are wanting to know if you are pregnant, and your cycles are regular, you can take a home pregnancy test anytime after you have missed your expected period, or wait until "day 36". The home pregnancy test will be 99% accurate in detecting any pregnancy hormones when used correctly.
