Thanks for your input. Superfetation is an extremely rare phenomenon that occurs more on animals than it does on humans. I think in history there have only been about 10 known cases of this occurring in human beings so it's not something we would suggest to someone asking a question on the possibility of pregnancy.
The argument on ovulation is that unless its this "Superfetation" phenomenon, women do not ovulate during pregnancy. There is no unfertilized egg because she is already pregnant, hence there is no egg to be fertilized and therefore no period. Any bleeding that occurs during pregnancy is not menstural cycle bleeding but instead related to either miscarriage, placenta previa, or unexplained bleeding. Please don't let this phenomenon mislead you into believing that any woman who bleeds in a pattern that appears to be a "period" can get pregnant while she is already pregnant-- it is extremely rare.
