Marvelon 28 should get your period regulated-- great.

If you do not have any STD's and both you and your partner are only having sex with each other then you could not get an STD. HOWEVER, I'm going to play devil's advocate to answer this question-- YOU can guarantee that you don't have any STD's and that he is your only partner but you cannot say the same about your partner. As much as we would love to live in a world where people don't cheat, don't sleep around, and don't bring any sexually transmitted diseases home with them-- nothing is guaranteed. I don't know how long you two have been together but the choice is up to you, just make an educated one. If you share a home together, have been together for many years, and you trust him-- then go for it. If you just started dating and/or you have some concerns about his sexual history and present health then you may want to consider condoms as well; at least for the time being.

Hope this answers your question.
