Hi Anon,

Our lymph nodes play a vital role in your body's ability to fight off viruses, bacteria and other causes of illnesses.
Sometimes, for example, if you've ever had a throat infection-- you'll notice that the lymph nodes around the neck become large and swollen. HOWEVER lymph nodes, when palpable, should be pea-sized and move when you touch it. If you can feel your enlarged lymph node and it is hard and fixed-- meaning it doesn't move when you touch it: Please contact your primary care Physician. Other reasons to contact your doctor are:

If the lymph node has appeared for no apparent reason (no illness, infection, etc)
If it continues to enlarge or is still there after 2 weeks.
If they are accompanied by persistent fever, night sweats or unexplained weight loss

Please keep us posted!
