You could not be pregnant for two reasons--you had unprotected sex on the third day of your period, and you had a period again just a few days ago.
You can conceive or become pregnant when you have unprotected sex during ovulation. Generally, ovulation occurs about 14 days before the start of a period. This is when one of the ovaries releases an egg.
When you have your period, the uterine lining is shed and passes as bleeding. When you are pregnant, the uterine lining remains intact, and there is no period or bleeding.
