Proper hand washing with soap and warm to hot water will remove sperm from the hands. You need to wash well, for at least 30 seconds, getting in between the fingers and under the fingernails.
When taking a home pregnancy test, it is advisable to wait one week after the expected period (if you expect your next period on April 3 and you don't get it by April 10- then take a test) to test. Read and follow the directions carefully for the most accurate results.
