As someone whose gone to great lengths to avoid cancer, prophylactically removing healthy breasts and ovaries, it drives me nuts to have an almost daily story of the newest miracle cancer fighting or villainous cancer-causing food or food constituent. I get to resenting it. That said, I don't view all foods as equal when it comes to disease prevention or wellness. I just can't understand focusing on the risks of eating 1/2 grapefruit per day when so many of us exist primarily on chemical laden, highly processed, essentially fake foods.
