Thank you for your question and welcome to EmpowHer.Pyoderma gangrenosum is a painful skin disorder that causes open ulcers on the skin and can even attach to internal organs. Is the person being treated with steroids for the condition? Now, this condition is usually secondary to a primary condition such as an auto-immune disorder and therefore would not necessarily be contagious to another person. Is there a specific concern? Perhaps sexual contact, etc?
