Not at all. Implantation bleeding is when a fertilized egg implants itself to the lining of the woman's uterus. It's very light spotting and as a matter of fact some women don't even notice any spotting at all. Implantation bleeding is actually just a few drops of blood and nothing more. So, if what you are experiencing is more than a few drops and looks more like a period, then it is a period.
