Hi,
There is no simple answer that I can give you. Sciatica is a symptom of another medical problem, not a medical condition on its own.In your case, has the medical problem been identified? Common causes include;
Piriformis syndrome (a pain disorder involving the narrow piriformis muscle in the buttocks)
Slipped disk
Degenerative disk disease
Spinal stenosis
Pelvic injury or fracture
Tumors
Because sciatica is a symptom of another medical condition, the underlying cause should be identified and treated. In some cases, no treatment is required and recovery occurs on its own.
If the cause of the sciatic nerve dysfunction can be identified and successfully treated, full recovery is possible. Your physician know your case and would be the one to tell you if the heel hypersensitivity and skin numbness will resolve over time.
